1) Nutrition: PORTION CONTROL
The secret to weight loss success is not a magic pill or a scientific formula. The PORTION size of your meals will help you achieve your goals sooner and ensures you maintain them long term. Make sure you eat regularly (every 2 to 3 hours), small portions and balanced meals throughout the day. This keeps your metabolism burning, your energy levels optimum and stops you craving or overeating unhealthy foods.

2) Exercise: PRIORITISE YOUR TRAINING.
Make your training sessions a PRIORITY and schedule times in your diary as you would a business appointment. No matter what other issues need to be addressed, these appointment times are not to be cancelled. I live by the quote, "No matter how bad you feel: GET UP, GET DRESSED AND SHOW UP". I can guarantee you always feel better after exercise.

3) Goals: SET ACHIEVEABLE, MEASURABLE AND ACCOUNTABLE GOALS.
Write down your goals (2 to 3 is plenty), set time frames (4 to 6 weeks is manageable) and make sure you keep progress of them by having regular assessments by a personal trainer. Having someone to report to keeps you honest and gives you a support network to work out strategies for overcoming obstacles with your training or nutrition.
